block USB port in windows Operating System and protect your System

In this post I will describe, how block your USB drive . It is a very important and useful tip  for every one. USB drive is common way to save important files and data, and every person using external USB pen drive or other drive for saving his personal data  according to present trend.  If you want to protect your computer  by disable your USB port you need to read some easy following step.

             How disable USB port in windows operating system 

STEP:1

• Go Start button and click Run
• Type regedit in box and hit Enter 
•  After you will seen Registry Editor 
• Locate and click  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/USBSTOR
• After finding this directory you will seen following Registry Editor window 

STEP:2

• Click Start,  type 4 and change the value data . 
• Select  Hexadecimal base  (If  it is already not select)
• Click  Ok  and Quit Registry Editor 

You are done, Your USB port will disable .

If you want to able your USB port again, change your previous value in value data box Instead of new value.  

Note-  It is not fully secured  because, your USB  is not password protected so any one can able your USB drive, who have knowledge about this tip.
